Desperate to escape his working-class fate, he teams up with a flight attendant, Lok Ka-yuen, to execute a massive robbery. The quick taste of immense wealth fuels his ambition, plunging him into a dangerous power struggle with a powerful billionaire, Chan Fai-yin. The story functions as a dark cautionary tale taking narrative inspiration from the real-life 1991 Hong Kong tycoon kidnapping case involving criminal mastermind Cheung Tze-keung
