Zhao Yu Tong, a physically fragile girl from a single-parent family, becomes the target of systematic school bullying. What begins as mockery quickly escalates into routine violence—hidden in corridors, silenced in classrooms, and ignored in plain sight. In a school where fear governs behavior, students turn away, teachers remain indifferent, and authority protects the powerful. At the center of the abuse is Xu Xiao Tang, a privileged student shielded by her status as the daughter of a school board director. Under her influence, bullying is no longer an act of cruelty—it becomes a normalized culture. Yu Tong suffers in silence, too afraid to speak, confiding only in her closest friend, Xin Yi. Each injury she hides deepens the cycle of abuse. When a brutal assault finally pushes her mother to confront the school, she is met not with justice, but with humiliation. The institution closes ranks. Responsibility is denied. The solution offered transfer, not accountability. Driven by desperation, her mother reported the case to the police. The bullies are expelled—but the system’s failure has already set something darker in motion. The bullying does not end. It evolves.
