Assi (Hindi for "Eighty") is a hard-hitting legal drama that derives its title from a grim statistic: approximately 80 rape cases are reported in India every single day. The story follows Raavi (Taapsee Pannu), a relentless lawyer who takes on a brutal sexual assault case to fight for Parima (Kani Kusruti), a survivor whose life is devastated by the crime. As Raavi battles against a corrupt system, deep-rooted patriarchy, and societal apathy, the film exposes the normalization of sexual violence and the systemic failures of justice.
