During the Vietnam War, the US Armed Forces built a large Radio Research Field Station (RRFS) at Ramasun Camp. It’s believed to be a test site for the warp-speed teleporter by the name of “Taklee Genesis.”
Stella (Paula Taylor), a single mom experiencing a twist of fate, receives a call from her childhood friend Ith (Peter Corp Dyrendal) asking her to return to her hometown to care for her critically ill mother Duangphon (Jenjira Widner). Plagued by bad memories, Stella left Ban Don Hai when she was a child who testified how her father had mysteriously disappeared in a forbidden forest, to no one’s belief. Now, 30 years later, she is back with her daughter Valen (Nuttacha Jessica Padovan) who tries to prove herself to her mom. Here, she also meets community leader Chamnun (Phutharit Prombandal) and his son Kong (Wanarat Ratsameerat) both of whom, incredibly, look exactly like they did three decades ago.
One night, Stella’s dad contacts her on an old radio. 30 years have passed here; it’s only 30 minutes where he is. She wants to bring him back to the present world and her mission is to time travel back to switch on the Taklee Genesis. And that’s the beginning of an adventure from the past to the future spanning a thousand years.
Taklee Genesis x Worlds Collide is showing in cinemas since September 26, 2024 to October 09, 2024
