A mother mouse-deer is chased by a mysterious shadow predator reluctantly pushed her son to fall into the gorge to save him. A few years later, the baby mouse-deer, Sang Kancil, grows up to be the one that always helps the forest dwellers solve all their problems. One day, Sang Kancil stares at the steep high cliff where he last saw his mother killed by a black shadow. Kancil wants to find the black shadow that killed his mother & wanted to seek justice for his mother's death. The presence of the Crow gives hope that his wishes can come true. So began Kancil's adventure to search for the black shadow. Throughout Kancil’s journey, he met 3 predators that ruled the sky, land and sea/river, namely the Helang Perkasa (Mighty Eagle), Gajah Belukar (Bush Elephant) and Raja Buaya (Crocodile King). Kancil cooperates with the inhabitants of the forest to defeat the black shadow when the black shadow attacks the forest.
