One afternoon, Hema is driving a car. She accidentally hits a young man, named Roshan, riding a bike coming in the opposite direction. He gets seriously injured. Hema feels guilty and gets him admitted in a hospital. Hema starts helping Roshan along the way as he is injured and they become friends. Roshan gets fond of Hema and compares whatever she does with his mother – especially the food cooked by Hema for him. Slowly their relationship matures into a romantic one.
Hema finds solace from it. When Roshan proposes Hema, she rejects. One day Roshan crosses boundary and approaches Hema with a lustful intention. She slaps him and leaves. Frustrated, Hema arrives home and finds the house completely dark. Upon switching on the lights, she finds a man who is drinking. His name is Alex and he is her husband.
