A mysterious force knocks the moon out of its orbit around Earth and sends it hurtling on a collision course straight towards our planet. With mere weeks before impact and humanity on the brink of annihilation, NASA executive and former astronaut Jo Fowler is convinced she has the key to saving them all - but only one astronaut from her past, Brian Harper, and conspiracy theorist K.C. Houseman believe her. The unlikely heroes mount an impossible last-ditch mission into space to make or break humanity`s future. However, when they get there, they find out the moon is not what they thought it was.
