Based on the web series of the same name, Dad, I’m Sorry (B? Già) is a comedy-drama film that explores the cross-generational dynamics of a Vietnamese family with poignant humour and relatable angst. The story revolves around Ba Sang, a man over 60 years old, his son Quan – a rising YouTuber, and daughter Bu Tot. Although responsible for uprooting his three siblings to the city for a better life, an unexpected twist of fate had Ba Sang depending on them for a living instead. This became a source of conflict between the father and son, as it pains Quan to see Ba Sang working for those who do not treat him like family. Dad, I’m Sorry, which was co-directed by and starred Tran Tranh, brings to life a story of empathy and understanding between two generations and their contradicting, yet equally valid perspectives.
Dad, I'm Sorry is showing in cinemas since April 23, 2021 to May 09, 2021
