"Aranya" is written and directed by Prabhu Solomon, who wanted to bring the issue of elephant abuse to the light. It is a movie that is intended for families and children that touches upon a universal concept of the co-existence between man and animal. This is the story of Bandev, a jungle man who lives with elephants and he is the guardian of the forest. The elephants and other forest animals face the constant threat of the loss of their homes, their natural habitat and food due to the greed and corruption of man who have been abusing wildlife for the longest time, and how the righteous humans must fight back and do what is right before it is too late and all will indeed be lost.
