At the height of Napoleon’s reign, Vidocq –a man who has broken out of the country’s most famous prisons 27 times- is a legend. Supposed dead after his latest escape, he is lying low. When his past catches up with him and he is framed for a murder he didn’t commit, he strikes a deal with the police: in exchange for his freedom, he will hunt down all the thieves and murderers on the streets of the capital city.
